The beautiful century route follows the Arkansas River north to Leadville, then circles around lovely Turquoise Lake. After a quick lunch break, cyclists will ride the Mineral Belt Trail which meanders through the historic Leadville Mining District, then back to Buena Vista in the shadows of Colorado’s highest mountain peaks. Most of the climbing is completed over the first 60 miles, with the last 40 miles essentially downhill to flat! Riders also have the option to take shorter out-and-back routes including a 35 miler, a 50 miler, and a “metric century” (62 miles) while still enjoying the Collegiate Peaks’ magnificent scenery.

NOTE: the shoulder becomes narrow after Granite (first rest stop), so please use caution.
